Over the past 24+ years, Jennifer has worked with brands spanning the beauty, wellness and lifestyle industries.

Jennifer has executed special projects and secured press for Annick Goutal, Melijoe, DevaCurl, Guerlain, Cornelia Spa at the Surrey, Rita Hazan, SalonTech, Goldenberg Dermatology, Circ-Cell Skincare, method products™, Givenchy, AHAVA, Agent Provocateur, Melanie Simon Skincare and others. Currently, Jennifer oversees communications for ZIIP Beauty, Oliver Thomas accessories, Pai Skincare and SugarBear™ Sleep.

Before starting JJBPR in 2006, Jennifer served as the Director of Public Relations at Frédéric Fekkai & Co, where she focused on product launches, strategic partnerships, special events and ongoing brand awareness. Jennifer played a key role in garnering media attention for Frédéric Fekkai, the acclaimed hairstylist, along with his eponymous salons and the Fekkai product line. Both her talent and foresight enabled her to help catapult Fekkai from a national company to an internationally recognized brand name in the luxury goods marketplace (sold to Proctor & Gamble).

Prior to Fekkai, Jennifer was an on-site consultant at M.A.C., where she was instrumental in the launch of Viva Glam V, an initiative that raises money to support people living with HIV/AIDS. In addition, she has also worked for high-profile PR agencies Ketchum Public Relations and LaForce & Stevens, which have collectively enabled her to master the fundamentals of public relations, influencer outreach, and the importance of client relationships.

Jennifer prides herself on developing thorough communications strategies and devising creative and extensive media outreach programs. She believes in quality over quantity when it comes to what makes a successful and memorable multi-platform campaign that will affect a client’s bottom line. Jennifer works with each client to determine individual needs and goals. She has a keen awareness of the power of the media and the importance of developing and maintaining valuable relationships with the press, influencers, makeup artists and her clients, most which have come about through word of mouth.

Jennifer continuously secures placements across all media platforms and serves as a personal brand ambassador for her clients. This has led to feature stories, profiles and trend pieces in many major media outlets, including Allure, O, The Oprah Magazine, Vogue, T Magazine, BofF, Town & Country, The Glossy, People, US Weekly, W, Women’s Health, Well+Good, The New York Times, WWD, InStyle, WSJ, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar, Marie Claire, Good Housekeeping, Shape, C Magazine, Serendipity, Gotham, The Cut,, ZoeReport, R29, PureWow, PopSugar, Bustle, Byrdie, ThisThatBeauty,, “Access Hollywood”, The Today Show, many regional morning shows and more. PR Associate/Manager
Candidate Description

This small boutique agency is 15 years old and growing quickly. We are looking for a rockstar publicist with solid relationships in beauty editorial and great influencer relations experience. We have incredible international and national beauty brands on our roster, and we genuinely only take on clients we love, believe in and would use ourselves. Because we are small (but mighty), the learning opportunity is huge and this person will be an integral part of the business and will interact with the clients directly. Looking for someone who is motivated, happy to jumpin and be a team player, reliable, passionate, optimistic, organized, great interpersonal skills, likes to laugh and doesn't take him/herself too seriously, is up on the beauty news/pop culture and has a life outside of work. Because we are small, this is a huge opportunity and growth tends to happen quicker than a traditional, larger firm. This person has to be a strong communicator and know how to balance priorities. We are jugglers! Prior beauty PR experience and being well-versed in social media is a must. Should be proficient in MuckRack, Cision, Canva, Google Docs, Office, etc. Full benefits after 90 days.

This is a hybrid position (more WFH!) with a competitive salary.



  • • 2-3 years of experience doing beauty PR
  • • College degree or equivalent experience related to Marketing/PR/ Communications
  • • Passion for beauty/cosmetics industry
  • • Organized, detail-oriented and proactive
  • • Superior written and verbal communication skills
  • • Ability to manage multiple programs in a deadline-intensive environment
  • • Self-starter and motivated to learn and grow



  • • Assist in idea generation and execution of strategic publicity outreaches, events and campaigns for clients
  • • Coordinate influencer, media and artistry outreach activities including product pitching, personalized gifting, event planning, partnerships and networking
  • • Draft press materials including: tip sheets, bios, press releases, media-alerts
  • • Clip client press hits with Canva and send to client in a timely manner
  • • Pitch beauty media & media follow-up
  • • Create press recap decks in PowerPoint
  • • Communicate with the client via email, bi-weekly conference calls & meetings
  • • Create & maintain media pitch status updates and for internal use and for clients
  • • Prepare & manage beauty products and mailings
  • • Build and maintain solid relationships with beauty editors, influencers, makeup artists, etc.
